The Cello Lantern is a single instrument explored as a whole world—warmth and shadow, breath and grain, intimacy and sweep. Across thirteen portraits, the cello moves through changing rooms of character: five caprices that feel like candlelit soliloquies, four duo sonatas where two voices argue, console, and finally align, and two romantic duets that linger like private letters. The journey culminates in two orchestral versions of a Romance in D minor—wider in scale, yet still lit from within by the same human pulse.
These pieces are not meant as a technical showcase alone, though virtuosity is present; they are meant as a sequence of emotional lantern-states. Each track holds a distinct color—ember, glass, moon, ash, gold—so that by the end, the listener has walked a complete arc from hush to radiance, from closeness to horizon, and back again.
