Twelve Strings of Light

A Spiritual Cycle for Solo Harp and Light Ensemble

There are journeys we take across landscapes, and others we take across silence. Twelve Strings of Light is the latter — a cycle of inner movements mapped not by distance, but by depth.

Composed for solo harp and light ensemble, this album traces twelve spiritual states — from awakening to ascension — each captured in sound as if plucked from an invisible thread running through the soul. These are not grand overtures or dramatic declarations. They are quiet offerings. Meditations in motion.

The harp, with its ancient voice and shimmering transparency, becomes both narrator and guide. It whispers in the language of longing, grief, wonder, and peace — sometimes alone, sometimes accompanied by cello, flute, ambient textures, or elemental wind. Each track is a moment suspended in stillness. A point of light. A fragment of remembering.

There is no need to listen in order. The cycle is not linear. It spirals. Like breath. Like light through a prism. Like the strings of the harp themselves — stretched between silence and song.

Twelve Strings of Light is not meant to impress. It is meant to hold. May it meet you where words fall short — and music begins.

Twelve Strings of Light – Liner Notes

Whispers of the Dawn

As the first light brushes the horizon, the harp breathes in silence and exhales stillness. This opening track is not just an awakening — it is a remembering. A return to the place before sound, where the soul begins to listen.

Petal on the River

Longing doesn’t cry out — it drifts. This piece floats like a single petal carried downstream, guided by harp and ambient flute. There is no urgency here, only motion. Love not yet met, but already surrendered.

Glass Rain

Memory does not arrive in words — it falls in fragments. This track is a gentle meditation on reflection, where each note is a raindrop sliding down the surface of a quiet window.

Ashes and Thread

Grief is the thread that moves through what is gone and what remains. The harp speaks in pauses; the cello answers with reverent breath. Together, they do not explain sorrow — they accompany it.

Windroot

Letting go is not the same as forgetting. It is the act of loosening our grip while staying rooted. Wind passes through the harp’s quiet tones like a spirit brushing against a tree that no longer resists the breeze.

The Secret Wing

Wonder is a secret room inside the soul — always there, waiting to be opened. With soft voices and luminous harp, this piece invites you to listen to the childlike awe that stirs behind the veil.

The Cloak of Gratitude

Gratitude is not loud. It wraps gently, like a cloak placed across the shoulders by unseen hands. The harp weaves warmth and reverence, while soft nature sounds remind us that every moment is a gift already given.

Vela in Bloom

Love blooms not with thunder but with light. The harp reaches upward in soft spirals while ambient textures cradle it like petals. This is the sound of love unfolding — patient, radiant, and real.

Lionleaf

True courage is not fire, but gold quietly pressed into the shape of a leaf. The harp stands firm, grounded and steady, as soft percussion pulses beneath — a heartbeat walking forward without spectacle.

Featherfall

Peace doesn’t arrive. It descends. This track falls gently, like a feather floating through light. It holds no weight, only release — the hush that follows after everything has let go.

Held in the Quiet

This is not the absence of sound. It is the presence of silence. Harmonics shimmer, wind moves softly, and the harp speaks only when the soul has finished speaking.

Strings of Light

The cycle closes not with finality, but with ascent. Harp, strings, and ambient light rise together into a space beyond form — where all the threads converge. This is not the end, but the return.

Aurora in Motion (Bonus Track)

A celebration of the harp’s voice in full flight. Classical in spirit and balletic in motion, this solo piece sparkles with cascading scales, glissandi, and joy. The dancer is light — and the harp becomes her stage.
