In Silentio Lucis
There is a stillness so profound that sound itself seems to listen.
In Silentio Lucis — In the Silence of Light — was born in that stillness.
This album is a sonic meditation on awakening — the invisible journey from self-awareness to surrender, from surrender to illumination. It speaks not of enlightenment as destination, but as process: the unfolding of consciousness as it learns to see, yield, and finally, shine.
Each composition in this triptych is a mirror of transformation:
the self who first perceives the dream, the self who dissolves within it, and the self reborn as light.
Inspired by the words of Alan Watts and the perennial mystics, this work embraces the sacred rhythm of disappearance — the quiet withdrawal from illusion into essence. It is music for those who walk between worlds: aware of the dream, yet awake within it.
Here, silence is not the absence of sound but the presence of truth.
And light is not brightness — it is being.
Liner Notes
I. The Self Seen — “Awake in the Quiet”
Cinematic Spiritual Ballad
The first movement captures the instant of awakening — the breath between illusion and awareness.
A single voice rises from shadowed strings, reflecting the moment one “steps out of the play,” recognizing the mask and the script for what they are.
Piano and orchestra swell with tender gravity, expressing both grief and gratitude: grief for what must be left behind, gratitude for what is newly seen. The tone is intimate — the soul remembering itself.
“I disappeared to find what’s real.”
This is not a farewell to the world, but a bow to its beauty once seen without illusion.
Awaken in the Quiet Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I stepped out of the play, the curtain fell away,
Voices still pretending in the glow of yesterday.
I saw the masks and mirrors fade into the night,
And walked alone into the light.
[Chorus]
I disappeared to find what’s real,
Beyond the noise, the spinning wheel.
I chose the silence over applause,
To breathe beneath the cosmic laws.
[Verse 2]
Lonely was the crowded room,
Alone I found the sacred bloom.
In stillness, I became the flame,
Without a mask, without a name.
[Bridge]
Cocoon of quiet, cradle of dawn,
The soul dissolves, the self reborn.
The dream undone, the light revealed,
A border dweller, softly healed.
[Final Chorus]
I disappeared to find what’s real,
No need to hide, no need to kneel.
Now I walk between the worlds unseen,
Awake, eternal, and serene.
[End — whispered]
I am awake.
II. The Self Surrendered — “Awake, Eternal and Serene”
Neo-Classical Choral Work
In the second movement, the solitary seeker dissolves into the collective breath of consciousness.
The choir enters — soft, reverent, and expansive — embodying surrender not as defeat, but as release.
Strings and voices intertwine like light through stained glass.
Each chord opens a door inward.
The repeated invocation “Cocoon of quiet, cradle of dawn” evokes transformation: the chrysalis of stillness from which the awakened self is reborn.
Where the first piece gazed outward, this one turns within.
The melody floats, no longer driven by time — a prayer without words, a silence made music.
Awake, Eternal and Serence Lyrics
[Intro – softly choral]
Awake…
Awake in the quiet…
[Verse 1]
I stepped out of the play, the curtain fell away,
Voices still pretending in the glow of yesterday.
I saw the masks and mirrors fade into the night,
And walked alone into the light.
[Chorus – full choir]
I disappeared to find what’s real,
Beyond the noise, the spinning wheel.
I chose the silence over applause,
To breathe beneath the cosmic laws.
[Verse 2 – chamber choir]
Lonely was the crowded room,
Alone I found the sacred bloom.
In stillness, I became the flame,
Without a mask, without a name.
[Bridge – solo soprano, then choir swell]
Cocoon of quiet, cradle of dawn,
The soul dissolves, the self reborn.
The dream undone, the light revealed,
A border dweller, softly healed.
[Final Chorus – crescendo then fade]
I disappeared to find what’s real,
No need to hide, no need to kneel.
Now I walk between the worlds unseen,
Awake, eternal, and serene.
[Outro – whispering choir]
Awake… I am awake.
III. The Self Shining — “In Silentio Lucis”
Latin-Infused Requiem for Awakening
The final movement transcends language itself.
English and Latin entwine in luminous chant — voices of the awakened, not proclaiming but remembering.
Organ tones and orchestral halos surround the choir as if the sound were being sung from the light itself.
“Ego evanui ut inveniam veritatem.” — I disappeared to find the truth.
In this requiem, death is not loss — it is illumination.
The soul stands revealed as the light that had always been shining through.
This closing piece completes the triptych:
- The Self Seen — awareness dawns.
- The Self Surrendered — identity dissolves.
- The Self Shining — silence becomes radiance.
As the last echoes fade, what remains is not silence, but presence —
the listener, listening to their own light.
In Silentio Lucis Lyrics
[Intro – choir in canon]
Awake… Illumina me…
Awake in the quiet… In silentio lucis…
[Verse 1]
I stepped out of the play, ex umbra procedo,
The curtain fell away, cadit velum mundi.
Voices still pretending, personae tenebrae,
I walk alone into the light, in lumen verum.
[Chorus – full choir]
Ego evanui ut inveniam veritatem,
Beyond the noise, supra strepitum.
I chose the silence, elegi silentium,
To breathe beneath the cosmic laws, sub lege lucis spirare.
[Verse 2 – chamber choir]
Lonely was the crowded room, solitudo inter turbas,
Alone I found the sacred bloom, flos animae in quiete.
In stillness, I became the flame, factus sum flamma cordis,
Without a mask, without a name, sine persona, sine nomine.
[Bridge – soprano solo, then choir]
Cocoon silentii, cunabulum aurorae,
The soul dissolves, anima renascitur.
The dream undone, somnium finitum,
Lux revelata, pax restituta.
[Final Chorus – crescendo then fading to stillness]
Ego evanui ut inveniam veritatem,
No need to hide, non amplius lateo.
Now I walk between the worlds unseen,
Ambulo inter mundos lucentes,
Awake… Ego sum vigilans, aeternus, serenus.
[Outro – whispering choir]
Lux… Lux Aeternum…
Final Reflection
In Silentio Lucis is not a composition to be understood, but to be inhabited.
It invites the listener to step beyond sound and into being —
to remember the ancient truth that the soul does not awaken to light.
It awakens as light.
